Mrs Bear has made a couple of tweaks to her swapshop events around East London: Firstly you can bring as much or as little to swap as you like! (Minimum 1 piece, maximum 15 pieces!) The pieces just have to be in good condition. Secondly the swapping will now run from 1pm - 4pm, so feel free to come along between these times. Finally, Mrs Bear now offers a full alterations service for those swaps that may need a little tweaking. For a small extra cost pins will be on hand to tailor thrifty swaps as you wish.

3 simple steps away from a new wardrobe..................
Step 1)  Go through your wardrobe and dig out good condition ladieswear, kidswear and/ or accessories. (Mrs Bear’s is not just vintage, we take just about anything!)
Step 2)  Bring along your swaps to a Mrs Bear‘s event where they will be colour-graded for fair swaps. You will receive your own clothing ration book with your colour coded tokens for swapping.
Step 3)  If you don’t manage to use up all your tokens you can keep your ration book for next time or take home your unwanted swaps - you choose!

With tough financial times ahead, Mrs Bear’s swapshops are themed on a World War II “make do and mend” ethos. The idea being you can get rid of your unwanted clothing items and swap them for someone else’s. Swapping your way to a new wardrobe at little cost to you and the environment! It’s also aimed at re - gaining a sense of community whilst reducing your carbon footprint.
