This evening combines a whole host of crafty activities into one night of “make do and
mend” madness! There will be a huge swapshop (bring up to 10 items), a chance to
learn alterations at our live demo’s and re-cycled craft making to jazz up your swaps
(www.fabrications1.co.uk).
You can also join the “Knitty gritty” girls for a knitting
workshop or try your luck on the recessionista raffle where you could win a vintage
sewing box stuffed full of bits and bobs. Come along and make do, mend and mingle!!!

Mrs Bear and friends will be creating a “make do and Mend” tent at Field Day and Underage Festival this summer! Inspired by summer sports days and country fetes, this year’s selection of activities serves to remind festival-goers of life’s simpler pleasures. The “make do and mend” tent will involve Mrs Bear’s thrifty sisters with recycled craft-making, knit a section of this summer’s largest festival blanket, live alteration demonstrations and swapshop where you can bring up to 5 items to swap or pick an egg from the basket on “Mrs B’s lucky egg dip” and you win an item from the rails.
